I'm not sure how to address the issue of "stolen" artwork. Is it stolen if someone else displays your work without asking you and without you knowing? Does it hurt you if you don't even know? Apparently, every month, my site is hit with thousands of downloads. The top hit file is "Smiley" [link]

Nearly six months ago, I was being forced into the horrible world that is MySpace (which I never check by the way so don't bother) and I came accross a banner ad. "Click here to vote on these wallpaper finalists. One will win a Honda Element!" Smiley was INSIDE the banner ad. What was I supposed to do? Well, I mailed the contest people of course using a friend's account. Did someone actually win a car? I don't know. Did it win? I have no idea? Did they respond? Of course not. But I'll never forget that it said "download these wallpapers to use on your myspace page!" and almost 20% of my traffic is coming from "profile.myspace.com/index.cfm"

*shrug* What's one to do? I mean... really.
